電影（沂蒙紅嫂祖秀蓮）是以沂蒙紅嫂祖秀蓮為題材，主要講述了革命戰爭年代，日本鬼子掃蕩我蒙山大地，地方老百姓與紅軍對抗日本鬼子展開鬥智鬥勇的保家衛國的故事沂蒙紅嫂祖秀蓮帶領老百姓冒著生命危險救護紅軍傷員，其中郭伍士被槍中三槍刺刀二刀，傷勢嚴重。祖秀蓮將其藏於家中，精心救護後又想法將其送回部隊。郭伍士心懷感恩之心，複員後回到沂蒙山區奉養祖秀蓮終老的感人故事。
